About Mike ^{(Publication, Photography)}

My BFA thesis, documenting the life and work of my dad, Mike Casey. Mike has been shaping surfboards for over 40 years with 20 of those working in my hometow of Waialua, Hawai’i. The project was inspired by a feeling of disconnect with my dad, and the goal was to document my journey of getting to know him and his work more.

I was excited about the oppporunity to get to look at and help curate old photos of him and his work, as well as take some of my own photographs.
